Our Mission

The Florida Organization for Relational Studies (FORS) is dedicated to the study and promotion of relationally based psychodynamic theories and clinical practice. FORS is an Orlando based local chapter of the Division 39 (Division of Psychoanalysis) of the American Psychological Association. Membership is open to any licensed mental health professionals interested in study and promotion of relationally based psychoanalysis. To that end, FORS offers presentations and workshops led by cutting edge, nationally regarded clinicians/authors. In addition, FORS offers ongoing training opportunities, including weekly peer supervision groups and a monthly reading group where participants can relate case material to current literature.

FORS strives to provide our members and prospective new members with stimulating and educational presentations that will enhance their clinical work. We are interested in feedback on past workshops and suggestions about future workshops and activities that might be of interest to FORS members.
